Released in 1986, Space Quest in a command line is a graphical text adventure set in a silly science fiction setting. It underwent a VGA remake and rebranded to Space Quest I: Roger Wilco in The Sarien Encounter so as to fit in with the newer naming convention of the series. This remake also transformed the game into a point-and-click. The series also received a small-run, three issue comic series released by Adventure Comics. Only the first issue had full colour.
Squiddy begins her heroics by waking up from an on-the-job nap in her favourite janitorial closet to find the ship had been attacked by Sariens. The Genesis Device–ahem–Star Generator, had been stolen! She slips right into the task only to discover just how dangerous the Sariens are.
